Stop, Look, and Listen

Sometimes in our lives, we really need to STOP, LOOK, and LISTEN. That's where I am in my life. A place where God is calling me to stop, look around at my life thus far and listen to Him as to where my life is headed from now on.

STOP-Whatever is going on that is causing burdens, stress, confusion in your life. Sin manifests itself in so many forms. It can even come through ones closest to us. Take inventory of anything that is not of the holy spirit and cut it loose. Expose yourself less and less to people, places, and things that will cause you to lose sight of Him. This is the only way you can have the fruits of the spirit.

LOOK-Don't get caught in a rut and dwell on the mistakes of your past or any circumstance that may not be of Christ. This is just a tool of the enemy to keep you stagnant in your walk. You only needed to reflect on things of old in order to know better and move forward. Now it's time to look at all of the accomplishments you have made. Be appreciative of the many blessings that you do have in your life right now!

LISTEN-Listen to what God is saying to you and you will be guided toward a better life. You can't go wrong when you follow the spirit of God. He will never lead you down a wrong path. This will not guarantee that the enemy will leave you alone, but it does entitle you to protection against his attacks. Listen to His love for you and be filled with His grace.

No matter where we are in our walk, we all need to stop, look and listen sometimes. This gives us time to reflect, regroup, and refresh ourselves. If you are not sure how to get started, here are some things that will help. Prayer gets us communication with our Father. Meditation lets us hear from Him through the holy spirit. And dedication gives us peace from sin. You will be blessed when you stop, look, and listen.
