My yoke is easy

Have you been dealing with something that seems as if you're swimming upstream? Then you may need to stop, and ask yourself, is this what I want or is this what God wants? God has a plan for your life and sometimes our plans go against His divine purpose for our lives. In those cases you'll notice that no matter what, you are not able to achieve whatever it is, no matter how hard you try.

For my yoke is easy and my burden is light...Matthew 11:30

This is not the same as going through a trial. What I'm speaking of is something that God has not called for you and you want it, so you push against what He has in store for you. You have not sought His counsel through prayer and found out if He has ordained this to be for you. When you ask Him for direction for your life, you'll find blessings laid out for you. An example of that would be, you are going for an interview for a job you want, but your car breaks down on the way, then you arrive late and lose it. If you have prayed and God has directed your path, then your car may still break down because we do still have an enemy, but you'll get a ride in time to get the job because He has already guided your path.

Don't give up on the vision that God has given you! No matter how hard labor may be, birth your vision into existence. But make sure this is what God has set for your life and not what you want. The best way to find out what you should be or where you are headed in life, is to first ask the person who wrote your story. Then take it by force, because it has already been given to you!!

Isaiah 55:9 "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." Thank you for this encouraging post! It applies to so many areas of life.
