Precious Time

There are many things in this world you can't get back once it's gone. But to me, the most important of all is time. Time is a precious gift that we can easily bless our families and friends with. The best thing about time is it can be provided to your loved one's FREE of charge, but as they say, "The best things in life are free!"

Think to yourself;

Who can I be spending time with right now?
Who have I lost time with over the years?
Who is in need of the majority of my time?
Why have I lost so much time?
What should I be doing with my time?

YOU'RE GOING TO SPEND TIME REGARDLESS, BUT YOU CAN CHOOSE WHAT YOU SPEND TIME DOING!!

As I've said before, time is one of those things that can't be taken back. So, start today to make the most of your time.

The thing you spend the most time on is usually the thing that is most important in your life.

I would start with the most important thing in your life and if you're like me, that's Jesus. Cultivate a prayer life. Encourage your family to spend time with our Lord and savior. With my kids, I tell them to talk to the Lord like a friend, because he is. Remember to not only go to Him when you need, but go to Him when you just want to say thank you. Praise and worship doesn't cost a thing other than your time.

Many of us are blessed with family; husbands, children, parents, siblings, etc... But do they know how important they are in your life? Your time can be the best gift you can give them. The more time spend in loving them, the more they know without a doubt, how important they are to you. Time is better than all the toys in the world! My sister once asked her grown children what was the best memory they had as a kid and their response was, "When we sat on the floor eating cookies, watching T.V., and talking. They didn't say one of the many vacations they'd been on or the vast amount of expensive toys that they had. Just time with mom (how sweet!) Just goes to show how a little of your time can last forever. Plant a seed today in your loved one's lives and start a legacy of time spent memories together.

Your husband should be the most important man on earth in your life, second only to your heavenly Father, who is not of this world. Your time and affection can make or break your husband. We are the softer side of him, so why wouldn't he want to spend as much time as possible with us. That's just the way God intended his desire for his wife to be.

Genesis 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

The word cleave means:

To adhere, cling, or stick fast.
To be faithful

If you cleave to someone, then it requires that you spend time with them. Your time can make or break a marriage. God's will was for men to want to spend time loving their wives and vice versa.

ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

Children are the most precious gift God can bless us with. At times it may not seem like it, when there's mess to clean up or laundry to wash etc... But, they really do add to our lives in a special way. The Lord holds children as important to Him as well.

Luke 18:16 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

Just yesterday, I had family game night with my children. It's usually on Fridays, but I've been so busy that we sometimes forget. Well, they absolutely LOVED it! We just got out our old board games and had fun. They really enjoyed just spending time with mom. It really put a smile on my face. Especially the babies, who made more of a mess of the games than played. But hey, it was fun it was free and it was time well spent.

Every woman is the CEO or her home. Running it more effectively, saves time while freeing up more time with more important things. Things like worship, prayer, your marriage, your children's raising etc..

You can find things easier and faster, when you designate an area for everything. You can same so much time if you organize better. How much time have you wasted looking for the window cleaner, when you could have been done with the windows by now. Remember that bill that was late because you couldn't remember where you put it, so you let time slip by and had to pay late fees. Or the time you missed an important event your child was starring in because you forgot the date and time. Wasted time can cause you money and heartache. Organization can prevent alot of lost time!

So, take inventory of your home, declutter, organize, clean, and start saving TIME!
We as women have a high calling to manage our homes, when you think of it as service to the Lord, it helps make it more meaningful. After all, once you're done you can now save time on housework and spend that time RELAXING!!!

Proverbs 31:5 She gets up while it is still dark;
she provides food for her family

31:17 She sets about her work vigorously;
her arms are strong for her tasks

31:27 She watches over the affairs of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness

Let's try to use our time more productively on things and relationships that matter most to us. Let's not waste valuable time on doing nothing that will benefit us or our family. Prayer benefits your life as well as your family. Time together with your husband benefits your marriage and children.
