War of thoughts

We have been really trying to focus on our many blessings in our families lives. If we allow the devil to attack our thoughts, we could really drown in sorrow and guilt. Of things that you may lack or decisions you've made. But that is letting him win and I'm not about to give up on the fight of my life and neither should you. The battlefield is in our minds and it all starts with just a single negative thought.

For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he Proverbs 23:7

Then you find yourself in an all out war for your soul. As mothers, it's very important that we stand firm because, those negative thougths not only affect us, but our entire family. You could have your husband come home to an angry bitter wife, if you allow thoughts of ungratefullness to fester. You can actually feel annoyed by your child wanting to play patty cake, if you allow selfish thoughts to lie dormant.

Instead, focus on how blessed you are to have a partner in life, or children to love. We defeat the enemy at the door when we shut him out of our thoughts. Let make an effort to be thankful for all the blessings we have in our lives. My father once told me that he felt sorry for the man that had no shoes, until he met the man that had no feet. We have so much to thank God for, and yet we let the negative thoughts cause us to forget. We can win the war by simply always focusing on our many blessings.

Watch your words: they become your thoughts.
Watch your thoughts: they become your actions.
Watch your actions: they become your habits.
Watch your habits: they become your destiny.
