Buildeth Her House

A wise woman buildeth her house, but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands...Proverbs 14:1

build:
to establish, increase, or strengthen
to increase or develop toward a maximum, as of intensity
to form or construct a plan, system of thought
to praise or flatter

As women, we are the builders of our homes. We are the ones who can create a spirit of Christ in our homes. You should take time out daily to think of ways to make your home better. I love to be in a comfortable environment at the end of a long day, have hot meals, and live in a clean home. So does everyone else here. I try to think, what would make me happy, and then implement those things for everyone in my home. Their are many areas that make up building your house. Some include;

Buildeth Her Self
It is very important that we also take care of the ourselves to make sure we can build effectively. Try and save some small amount of time, just for you. What you do with this time is all up to you; prayer,  bible study, go shopping, fav show, read a book, soak in a bubble bath, etc...(I'm partial to homemade mani/pedi) You can be selfish just for those moments and built yourself up, so that you can continue to build your family.

Buildeth Her Marriage
Your first ministry after Christ should be being a  help-meet!! It is the most important relationship you can have after Christ. You want to make sure that you do what you can to keep the union strong. Don't focus on what the other person isn't doing, instead focus on what you can do. Leave the rest up to Him that created marriage. After all, it's hard to resist a person being nice and always working to build them and the relationship.

Buildeth Her Children
Build up your children. Love, encourage and pray for them. They are little vessels that have been chosen just for you. They are in your care for such a time to be released to follow Christ for themselves one day.  Train them up well. Instill Christ in their lives, and even if they go astray, they will return to the love of God that has been taught to them.

When we are busy at the business of building, we are not having idle minds and hands. Resist the devil, by not giving him an avenue to attack. Remember a wise woman builds her home, but a foolish woman plucks it down with her own hands. If we are about God's work in our lives as keepers of our home, them we leave little room for nonsense to creep in.

Let's focus on our ministry by being very productive by building our homes!!

"We are the ones who can create a spirit of Christ in our homes. "

How true this is! A few years ago God convicted me of the "If mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy" attitude I sometimes had. It's my job to lead my flock when my husband is away, and I need to lead them in a selfless attitude.

Blessings,
Michelle
