Enjoy the Season!!

Are you running around like a chicken with your head cut off (old southern saying) trying to create the perfect Christmas? Stop it!! Tis the season to be jolly. Being stressed will not make your holiday season any better. As mothers, we often are responsible for making the holidays happen. We are the ones who cook the big holiday meals, deck the halls, host parties etc... But Christmas is so much more that any of that. Yes, yuletide celebrations are a wonderful tradition to take part in, but take time out to remember the true meaning of Christmas. Because Jesus is the reason for the season.

I want to actually remember the process leading up to the holidays. I want to remember the look on the kids faces when they saw the lights lit for the very first time of the season. The laughter as we decorated the tree. It may not look perfect, but we had a great time doing it together. Our puppy spilling my trash can over trying to steal scraps as I prepare our meals. The songs being sung throughout the house, sometimes badly...lol The imperfect wrapping paper job that had to be done in a rush to compete with spying eyes. Our Christmas may not be perfect, but it's just perfect for us. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
