I feel that homemaking in a ministry, that's why I chose Buildeth Her House as the name of my blog. You have the ability to create a home filled with blessings and praise for your family. A good homemaker is the key element that makes her house a home. I for one truly believe this to be true. Mainly because as a wife and mother I am in charge of the keeping my home. I create the meals that fill little tummies and keep everyone healthy. I always try to keep my home neat, cozy, fresh smelling for my family. With such a big family it can be a task, but I enjoy the role that Christ has given me. And I look good doing it...lol
I have so many tried and true tips that have worked for me. Too many to list, so I'll just post links for my cleaning tips, crafts, cleaning ideas, recipes, organizing, decor ideas, etc... One of the most rewarding assignments that God has given me is that of mom. I have never felt so fulfilled in my life. I'm raising little ones for Him and it is a great job. I am honored that I have the chance to be a role model and nurture little ones.

I have a quiver full and I'm enjoying every minute of it. They may keep things busy around here, but we're so busy making memories that will last a lifetime to mind much. We have a little of yours, mine, and ours going on here in my home. Five children, most times, but seven at other times. And that just makes things all the more special. I always try to create an atmosphere or praise and worship in my home. Because I feel that motherhood is a ministry! I'm also a fun mom who is still a kid at heart and my children just love it!

Welcome back to day three of my blog anniversary party!! I'm so glad you came and I hope you are really enjoying yourself. Today I'm focusing on my role as a wife to my husband. What does it mean to truly be my husbands help-meet? I feel that God created me to be a more softer, more feminine completion to his rough, hard working persona. I'm his soft place to land at the end of a hard days work. I bring extensions of him into this world by giving birth. Together we complete one another. God has designed a beautiful dance in which my husband takes the lead and as such, he has the responsibility of whether we float gracefully through life or stumble and fall.
I'm on a mission to make my husband my first ministry here on earth, after my Father's business. He is the head of my home and provider of our family. So, my job is to walk with him, to make sure he has all that he needs to be the head of his home. A good leader is only as good as his followers. So, we must both be on the same page when it comes to what our mission is for our family.

Well, we are well on our way in my one year blog party!! I really enjoyed reading more about you. I love getting to know the ladies behind the blog... Being a wife mother, chauffeur, maid, cook, referee, judge, jury, teacher, etc... can get overwhelming. I'm so glad I have someone who will catch me when I fall. I get weary sometimes, but Christ is bigger than any dirty diaper, spit ups, or children running for their lives at bedtime.
One thing that helps keep my heart closer to Christ, is my special time of prayer. I love being in fellowship with God. It is a very refreshing time and I always feel so new after I'm done. Another way that I can stay close to Him, is by hiding His word in my heart. We all have a scripture that we cling to when we need it. I would love to know what scripture do you hide in your heart and why? If you have more than one, please share all of them that really speak to you.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Romans 12:2
I am constantly turning to this scripture, when I face trials. We have to peel off the flesh daily and be transformed into God's children. The enemy will have us to be just like everyone else and fit in what are society's standards. But God is elevating us up to a higher standard of living, that is so unlike the norm.
